Law Enforcement Operations

Persistent Surveillance Systems provides police officers, investigators, and other agents with live and recorded wide area surveillance. To date we've completed two successful law enforcement operations with the Philadelphia and Baltimore police departments.

Persistent Surveillance Systems can support a month-long operation over a troubled community or full-time, year-round surveillance. The picture below shows the aerial surveillance system used in law enforcement operations in 2008. The same sensor can be integrated into helicopters and other aircraft - let us know your requirements and we'll find a solution.

The images captured by PSS's wide area surveillance system are sent to a Mobile Command Center for officers to monitor. During Philadelphia operations, officers monitored a high-crime area of the city for three days and used the imagery to coordinate drug busts, backtrack burglary suspects, and coordinate with patrol officers on the ground.

The image to the left is an actual image from a coordinated drug bust during the Philadelphia Operations. The narcotics officer (circled in yellow) is pursuing the fleeing suspects (circled in red) into the nearby apartment building. The operation was coordinated by officers in the Mobile Command Center using the live wide area imagery.
