The founder and president of Persistent Surveillance Systems, Dr. Ross McNutt, and his team of engineers developed the very first real-time Wide Area Persistent Surveillance (WAPS) system, Angel Fire, as officers in the United States Air Force. After Angel Fire's deployment to Iraq in 2007, Dr. Ross McNutt retired from the military to bring wide-area surveillance to the commercial market. He and his team have built a second-generation wide area surveillance system, and the first-ever ground-based WAPS system - the VISION-RL.
