Persistent Surveillance Systems provides aerial wide area surveillance support for major events such as NASCAR races, national conventions, major sporting events, and other events that require a high-level of situational awareness. The real-time, wide area imagery serves as a common operating picture for security personnel and law enforcment. With PSS's moving imagery, users can monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic over a four square-mile area within a single image. During the Lowe's 600, police officers used PSS's imagery to monitor activity inside and outside the race track. They used the moving imagery to improve traffic flow into the event (to get their customers inside the main event faster). The images were also used to monitor the parking lots surrounding the event for suspicious activity. |
