Full-Service Wide-Area Surveillance Provider
Full-Service Operations
Persistent Surveillance Systems provides Wide-Area Surveillance Sensors and Services that enable continuous, second-by-second video monitoring of a city-sized area. Because of the very high-resolution nature of PSS's sensors (up to 200 megapixels), vehicle and pedestrian activity can be tracked over a 16 square-mile area. If an event-of-interest happens within this area (a murder, for example), users can rewind the event to identify the perpetrator's place-of-origin, meeting locations, accomplices, driving routes, and final destination. PSS's HAWKEYE sensor has been used in countless major crime investigations, and has been used to backtrack criminals for officers to apprehend.

PSS provides a complete Wide-Area Surveillance Service at a flat rate of $2000/hour that includes the following:

1. PSS Aircraft and Pilot
2. Wide-Area Surveillance Sensor (HAWKEYE, HAWKEYE II, NIGHTHAWK)
3. On-Aircraft Image Processing Computer
4. Real-time downlink
5. Mobile Command Center (pictured)
6. Complete, ready-to-use, image analysis user stations
7. Level 1 & Level 2 image analysis (up to four full-time PSS analysts)
8. Persistent Surveillance Systems' Image Analysis Toolkit
9. Secure data storage and data server
10. Full-time, on-site technical support and training.

Nearly all current surveillance technology has the same downfall: Low resolution AND narrow fields-of-view. Current aerial surveillance sensors (camera balls, video cameras, etc.) are not effective in general airborne patrols, surveillance of large areas, supporting officers on the street, or helping detectives solve crimes. And this is because they are never "looking in the right spot".

Persistent Surveillance Systems' technology solves these shortfalls. The image to the left shows the coverage area of PSS's HAWKEYE sensor relative to other surveillance technologies. The HAWKEYE system is similar to a live version of Google Earth™ - only with a TIVO™-like capability.
